Drum roll, please. The first watercolor of 2013 is hot off my fingertips. It's a self-serving watercolor, but a good one none the less. The weekend before Thanksgiving some family and close friends of mine gave me the most wonderful baby shower. The crib bedding I picked out has airplanes all over it so the shower had a really cute airplane theme to it. The entire shower was so thoughtful and special, right down to the personalized m&m's that had the baby's initials on them. I didn't even know that was possible! Such caring, mindful folk deserve an extra special thank you note, as do the bearers of all the lovely gifts I received. I decided not to make the thank you notes too babyish so that they'd be useful for longer. I put our little fella's initials on the wing of the plane, and of course that's Rusty in the pilot seat. Hopefully I'll be making lots more new (non-personalized-just-for-me) note card sets this year. It's time for an update in my current selection. Here's a quick look at my note card making process... By the way, baby is officially due January 15th, but he could come anytime at this point. Robert acts like I'm some sort of ticking time bomb and yet, the car seat is still sealed in its original box by the front door.
I'm thinking about feigning some labor pains this weekend just so he'll install it. Or maybe I'll ask him nicely oooooone last time before I resort to trickery. We'll see...
