My house is a wreck. Paper and packaging are everywhere. Empty cardboard boxes clutter the entry way and those little bitty confetti-like circles you get from a hole punch keep showing up on the bottom of everyone's feet. And that's only the tip of the iceberg. All of the clutter and chaos can only mean one thing. It's show time! More specifically, the Handworks Holiday Market in Jackson, Mississippi is this Friday and Saturday. When Robert and I bought our house over a year ago, I got to have a whole room dedicated to my artwork. A major score! You would think I would be able to contain my madness to this space, but alas...
Lately I just follow Seth around the house as he explores room by room. And by "explore" I mean emptying cabinets, pulling stuff out of drawers, clearing off tables, dragging shoes out of closets, pulling books off of shelves, etc., etc. I tag along, too busy stuffing note card boxes, slipping tassels on bookmarks (after punching the hole and thus creating aforementioned plastic confetti- grrrrrr), and signing prints to stop him or even pick up after him. Sure things get messy, but Seth is so happy babbling on and on about each of his "discoveries" that all I have to do is smile and nod in agreement while my hands stay busy folding Christmas cards. Christmas cards, note cards, magnets, bookmarks, and art prints... I'm all stocked up! Come see me Friday and Saturday in Jackson! Depending on what time you come, Seth may or may not be there to pull things out of your purse for you.
