Show Time!

Today I'm headed to Canton, MS to set up for the Canton Flea Market on Thursday.  Only handmade items are allowed on the courthouse lawn so that's where I'll be.  More specifically, if you go up the steps on the West side, I'll be just there on your Right.

After Canton, I'm headed back to Memphis to set everything up again for the Pink Palace Crafts Fair.  It starts on Friday and runs through Sunday at Audubon Park (that's right behind Macy's if you're like me and more familiar with Memphis's malls than parks). 

• 10am-6pm, Friday, October 12
  
• 10am-6pm, Saturday, October 13
• 10am-5pm, Sunday, October 14

Admission is $7 adults / $5 seniors / $3 children (under 12) / $12 two-day pass.  Parking is $3 at Southern & Perkins or FREE off Cherry Road.  In addition to the artists and craftsmen booths there'll be food, music, kids activities, a petting zoo, and live demonstrations from a few of the craftsmen.  All of the money collected benefits the Pink Palace Museum.  I took my grandpa there for the day just last fall.  I hadn't been to the museum since I was a kid and we really enjoyed looking through all the exhibits.

You can get really close to a polar bear when it's stuffed.

Speaking of grandpas... Sunday is Senior Day at the Crafts Fair!  From 1pm to 5pm, all seniors 55+ will be admitted for just $1.  Also,  you can get half off admission price any day here.
