Saturday in Starkville

The Cotton District Arts Festival is this Saturday, April 21st, in Starkville, MS.  It's also Super Bulldog Weekend for State!  This will be my 4th year at the Cotton District Arts Fest and it's always a lot of fun. 

There'll be live music on 3 stages and tons of great art and handmade items to peruse.  They also have a juried art competition.  I dropped the ball this year and didn't enter a piece myself, but I'm looking forward to seeing the other artists' entries.  There's always a lot of amazing talent on display. 

Something else I look forward to is the pet parade.  HA!  Silly I know, but what can I say, I'm a dog person.  Besides, the whole shebang usually prances right by my tent so it's easy to catch. 

The food promises to be good on Saturday too!   Local restaurants will be serving up their deliciousness all day long in the "Taste of Starkville."  I'm sure Robert will meander over to the server relay race too like he usually does and then come back to give me the play by play, awww.

Other aspects you might be interested in are the morning 5K race, the children's area, the Writer's Village, Poetry Slam, and student art competition.

And did I mention this event is FREE?!!
