When you're 28 everyone you know is popping out babies left and right. I love seeing all the new little faces on my facebook news feed, and here lately I've also enjoyed doing several commissioned pieces for little ones. My sweet brother commissioned this watercolor for one of his buddies who just had a baby boy. This friend of my brother's and his wife live in Pennsylvania and are huge Phillies fans. To really personalize the painting I put the parents' names on the scoreboard and their baby's birthday on the signs just right of the scoreboard. Another recent project was a custom baby shower invitation. The mom-to-be picked out a gorgeous crib from brattdecor.com and her creative sister-in-law suggested I paint it on the invitation. She also let me know the nursery color scheme. I think the end result turned out really sweet. This next baby shower invitation I did back before Christmas. The host filled me in on details about the soon-to-be parents and I incorporated them into the invitation design to make it completely personalized. I think it turned out really cute too! So here's to loveable, huggable babies!
