I like eBay a lot. I try to keep my art prints listed on there fairly often. I use the "Buy It Now" feature so the price and shipping is the exact same as on my website. The eBay fees do cost me a little more than selling on my website does, but I'm able to reach a much wider audience. eBay gets a lot more traffic than my little website. Imagine that. There is one perk eBay has for the buyer over my website. If you purchase one of my prints through eBay you'll get to add to your "eBay bucks." eBay bucks are a small percentage you get back on every eBay purchase. If your eBay bucks add up to something respectable during the allotted time period, you can cash them in on your next eBay purchase. So FYI, these 5 prints are currently listed. Personally I use eBay all the time. You can find just about anything in the whole wide world on eBay. Robert is forever fixing something and eBay is his go to place for the random parts he needs. Like new trim for that one place it was crappy looking inside the truck. More RAM for my computer. A new power window motor when the driver side window quit working on the car. A carburetor to get the lawn mower running. Boring (yet useful) man things that only Robert could be excited about. Currently he's on the prowl for a reflector that went missing off the back of his motorcycle. (So if you happen to have one of those list it quick!)
I mostly buy used books, cds and movies on eBay but every so often I'll score a real "treasure" like the Christmas ornament I found that looks exactly like Rusty. Or the Jerry Rice rookie card that Robert totally flipped for when I gave it to him on his birthday. I can always find the obscure things I need for my business on eBay too. Like spinning note card racks and floor length fitted table cloths. Last night I scored a big mystery box of mats for framing my prints and watercolors. The listing said there was 100 of them in assorted sizes and colors. It's a little bit scary not knowing exactly what I'm getting but the price was really good, and I figured I might as well throw caution to the wind and live a little. So now I think I've officially surpassed "casual eBay user" status. Now I'm more like a bad ass risk taker who buys heaven-knows-what-colors of art mats off eBay. ROAR!!
