Has it been four years already? 

I did this painting during the last election.  I was living in Oxford and Ole Miss was hosting the first of the three Presidential Debates.  It was a BIG deal.  The entire campus, the whole town actually, went into a frenzy making preparations.  It turned out to be a very historical election, and it was kinda neat to be amidst all the action momentarily. 

The actual debate took place in the Ford Center, pictured below.
