A Painting Come True

I am sooooooooooo ready for spring.  I try not to "wish my life away" as they say and to instead enjoy each day for what it is, but right now I feel like pushing the fast forward button.  Just a teeeeeeeny bit.

I did these two watercolors the other week in an attempt to quench my thirst for spring.

And then lo and behold, just a few days later while Robert and I were out walking Rusty (ok, maybe he was running around wild and leash-less) we found these growing out in the middle of nowhere. 

I guess spring is on the way. 

To me spring doesn't really start though until like, April.  But according to the Easter aisle at Walmart, those daffodils I picked last week, and even my calendar- spring is merely weeks away.  The official first day of spring is March 2oth. 

Quick Factoid-  On the first day of spring there are equal hours of day and night.  It's called the vernal equinox.

Regardless of what the calendar says, in my mind spring won't be here until I can slip my feet into flip flops on a regular basis, there's more green grass than brown, and all the coats that currently hang by the front door have permanently migrated back to the far end of my closet.

Until then, I'm thinking about painting a beautiful, blooming money tree.  Then maybe I'll find it growing in the middle of nowhere just a few days later...
