I have an ongoing list in my head called "Things I Should Have Done by Now." The list includes both personal and business related items.
On the personal side there's things like... send off for a copy of Seth's birth certificate and... try on my bridesmaid dress for the wedding I'm in next weekend (holy mother of pearl, please let that baby fit).
Business-wise there's one item in particular that is really haunting me, my taxes. I have got to get those dang taxes done.
It's not that I mind paying the taxes. I hide money from myself all year for that. What I hate is pouring over excel worksheets and receipts and paypal logs and mileage records and blah blah blah... Plus we moved in 2012, and since I work from home that move makes doing my taxes all the more... fun.
So anyway, I've had my calculator out a lot recently, and on one of those days I swore I was going to finish filing my taxes I ended up painting this instead. Whoops.
To make matters worse, I wasted a whole lotta time figuring out words I could "write" on my calculator before I even started the painting.
Check it out.
3704 is calculator speak for hole, as in the hole the federal government is going to throw me in if I don't finish filing my taxes.
Eventually I did find the perfect "word" for my painting though. Simple. Friendly. With juuuuust the right touch of the hell that is doing my taxes.
