Easy Indoor Scavenger Hunt
I started a new painting this week. It's of the state of Tennessee and along the same lines at this one of Arkansas,
and this one of Mississippi,
I grew up in Arkansas, went to college in Mississippi and spent the newlywed years there, and now we've been Tennessee residents for almost four years. 'Bout time to add a Tennessee painting to my portfolio!
I also just wanted to share a little scavenger hunt we did for the kids' birthday party a couple of weeks ago. It was so easy and fun. I thought I'd share it because sometimes coming up with indoor activities to do for a wintertime birthday party is hard!
CLUE #1: Clue #2 is in a book. Find one about FIREFIGHTERS and take a look!
CLUE #2: Get down LOW if you're able. Clue #3 is under a table!
CLUE #3: Everybody stop and listen. The next clue is with Aunt Kristin!
CLUE #4: No need for a compass or a map. Just look where Seth takes his NAP!
CLUE #5: Get ready to Stomp! Get ready to ROAR! The Dinosaur Eggs are by the Front Door!
I hid the clues in the dryer, in the kids' bookcase, under the dining room table, with a family member, and in Seth's bed. My brother put the prize chest full of "dinosaur eggs" by the front door at the last minute, when the kids were looking for the last clue. I'm sure you could easily modify this scavenger hunt to fit your own theme/house/family.
The rest of the birthday party was a "Roarrring Good Time" as advertised ;)
Happy Friday everyone!
